Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful….

I found the PERFECT piece for over my dining room buffet (more peeks into the final dining room reveal). I could not believe my eyes when I found “her”. I could barely leave her side long enough to run home w/the measurements to see if she would fit and if her “girls” (her flower pots LOL) would stick out too far, but nope, she’s a perfect fit!
Isn’t she beautiful? Her name is Lorraine. She’s got “old charm” class and the flowers, the white cream crocks and frame all came at a STEAL of a deal ($135 *gasp* I KNOW!). The flowers work PERFECT and best of all she came from a friend’s antique/gift shop, called The Ranch House and it had been the owner’s piece in her own home and she didn’t have room for it anymore, so she decided to sell it but it was a bittersweet sale. She and I agreed that in a couple years, I may have sell it back to her if she misses it too much. LOL
Screaming meme suggested shutters around her…what do you think? And in what color? Black?
I took some pictures of the talent this friend of mine (shop owner) has. Look at this piece - she made the cushion and pillow. Can you say CUTE! Too bad I don’t have a spot for it, so I just go to her shop and enjoy all her goodies and visit with a friend. What a wonderful way to spend a couple hours!!!
And I hate to break it to ya Nester, but you’re not the only one who uses mistreatments.

Wow, Darla! I really like that wall hanging. I think shutters would be a really different touch, but you might have to move some of the stuff on the buffet to avoid it looking cluttered. Just my two cents. It looks really good the way it is right now. (I’m kind of a minimalist when it comes to decorating)
See that’s my problem too….and would it begin to look too bulky…I just don’t know. I do have one really old “green” shutter I could throw up there for size to see what I think….

I L.O.V.E. it! Love the cream pots and well that they came with it
I wouldn’t put shutters up…to busy for my liking.
Yeah those cream pots are to die for. I’m with ya, I’m thinking no shutters….

Look at you and your cute self all nesting it up! I like it fine just how it is but shutters would be cute too!
loving those mistreatments!
Oh you have no idea to the depths of which I took my mistreatment of fabric yesterday. I took pictures along the way. One outta be scared around me when I have pretty material, a hot glue gun and some thumb tacs. =)

That looks lovely! And yes I hate you for it. LOL I “need” beautiful stuff like that in my house. (From the woman who spoke on contentment tonight at Ladies Bible Study) I think it looks good with no shutters.
LOL Thank you. Yeah don’tchya love it when God tests ya like that?!

I really like it the way it is. It is funny because when I was on BD (which I am still trying to figure out btw) the other day I spied this on your wall and loved it.
Your friend’s shop looks very inviting.
I like it the way it is too. I think I’ll leave it that way for a while - if I feel like it needs a little somethin later on, that’s always an option (I like options). My friend’s shop RAWKS!

That piece is gorgeous. Especially on that beautiful wall. What color is that? It’s soooo pretty. I really love saturated paint colors it’s so warm.
Your blog is great! Thanks for stopping by mine today.
Thank you! I buy my paint from a local mom and pop store. It’s a namebrand paint (just not anything like Sherwin Williams) I will go and find the can and get back to you on the name brand and color.
